Actual advise- Sick Days

  •  Soar throat--->
Eat cold, soft things (popsicles, yogurts, etc)
Hot tea with lemon
Hot soups
Gargle warm salt water
Cold drinks (gatoride, ginger ale, etc)

  • Stomach Ache--->
Non-caffeinated soda (ginger ale, 7 up, sprite, etc)
Eat gentle foods like bananas, applesauce, rice or toast.
Reduce your intake of coffee, tea and alcohol.

  • Headache--->
Rest in a quiet, dark room.
Cold compresses on head or neck.
Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking water.
Try not to chew much ( Can add extra pressure)

  • Vomiting--->
Eat or drink stuffs with ginger.
Rest in a sitting position or a propped laying position.
Lemons are good remedy for vomiting.
Drink Clear drinks like coca cola, ginger ale and 7-up.


  • Fever--->
Drink lots of water.
Dress in light clothing.
Apply cold compress to forehead and neck.

  • Stuffy nose--->
Lots of water
Hot shower helps
Relaxing with warm compress
Use a humidifier or cool mist vaporizer.
When laying elevate your head to increase the drainage and reduce congestion.
